 in residence

Lucy Drane is a Bristol based artist, in residence at 204 until September.

Lucy graduated in Art and Visual Culture at UWE school of Fine Art in 2006. Since graduating, she has pursued a diverse range of projects. In 2007 she pursued a European research trip; working at the Venice Biennale and visiting Documenta and Munster Sculpture Projects. She went on to complete a three month Internship at ArtSway a contemporary art gallery in the New Forest, Hampshire. Following her internship, she tucked herself away in her Hertfordshire studio to spend a productive six months working, returning to Bristol in March of this year to act as project assistant on the ambitious six week exhibition: Intervention/Decoration in Frome, Somerset. The inaugural exhibition showcased six internationally established artists including Cornelia Parker and Lawrence Weiner and involved a wide range of educational and outreach projects and workshops.

Lucy will be assisting in the development of the new 204 art space whilst continuing with her own practise.

Lucy will be showing her work at the end of the month in the 204 space.
