Mick Hockney After finishing an MA in
Fine Art at Manchester I worked in theatre (Welsh National Opera), television
(Spitting Image) and film (Aardman Animations). The graphic work of
Posada, the Mexican festival of the Day of the Dead, tattoo art, aspects of
street art, Warhol and punk, comic books and Pop art, woodcuts, medieval gothic
and the processes of cut and paste and sampling, are some of the visual
influences and modes of operating that inform my work. For this exhibition I will
be showing a series of clockfaces and a group of monoprints. |
