Lucy Drane is a Bristol based artist, in residence at 204 until September.
Lucy graduated in
Art and Visual Culture at UWE school of Fine Art in 2006. Since graduating, she has pursued a diverse range of projects. In
2007 she pursued a European research trip; working at the Venice Biennale and visiting Documenta and Munster Sculpture Projects.
She went on to complete a three month Internship at ArtSway a contemporary art gallery in the New Forest, Hampshire. Following
her internship, she tucked herself away in her Hertfordshire studio to spend a productive six months working, returning to
Bristol in March of this year to act as project assistant on the ambitious six week exhibition: Intervention/Decoration in Frome, Somerset. The inaugural exhibition showcased six internationally
established artists including Cornelia Parker and Lawrence Weiner and involved a wide range of educational and
outreach projects and workshops.
Lucy will be assisting in the development of the new 204 art space
whilst continuing with her own practise.
