204 is a space for contemporary art in Bristol.  It is located close to the centre on the busy Gloucester Road. It was initiated in 2006 as Windows 204 (windows204.tripod.com) to be a showcase for art in the windows of an empty shop on this popular and busy shopping street.

204 has a particular interest in supporting artists whose work is investigative, innovative and experimental.  We often show work which may not function in a conventional or commercial gallery setting.  To date we have showcased a diverse range of local/ national and international artists’ work, including site- specific installations.

Now steadily establishing itself as an exciting venue in Bristol for contemporary art, 204 is expanding and incorporating the internal shop space itself.
